I am Lucas, a lecturer at TU Dublin. I am the MSc coodinator at the School of Computer Science, responsible for assigning supervisors and approving proposals for research projects. I have a PhD from the same university concluded in 2020. My research focus is on Artificial Intelligence, more specifically automated reasoning and computational models of argument. I have participated in a number of conferences and published several papers.

Alongside my research, I am currently supervising master students in data analytics and advanced software development. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD please have a look at this page. As a lecturer, I teach: Data Science foundations with R, Pyhton and SQL for master students; and Object Oriented Programming for undergraduate students and conversion students.

My biggest project is the web framework developed during my PhD research. It allows the creation of rules made of boolean logic and modelling of conflicint information for reasoning with numerical data. It is a tool aimed at producing numerical inferences based on knowledge bases gathered from human reasoners or extracted by machine learning models.

I am also interested in operational research. Previously I have worked as an optimisation analyst and performed research for the development of heuristics for computational hard problems. If you are further interested in my qualifications please have a look at my Linkedin. I like to learn new skills and gain new knowledge. Some times it might become a hobby or an endless process.

If you want to contact me for any reason please feel free to send me an email at lucasmrizzo@gmail.com.
